Saviez-vous que la semaine dernière une compétition de Beach-Volley a eu lieu sur les plages de Tamatave en face du Bateau Ivre, pas trop loin de l'ancienne piscine municipale (super belle) et organisée par une équipe d'enfer mais bon…dans la semaine qui a précédé ce ne fut pas la joie en ville. Patrick nous a twitterisé d'heure en heure le développement de la grève des travailleurs du Port de Tamatave, ce qui pour l'économie de la région – du pays – est nettement plus dramatique que des manifestations de parties politiques capricieuses. Mais la jeunesse tamatavienne supra dynamique continuera à faire parler d'elle et de sa ville que ce soit par le Témoignage de Bosco ou l'activisme de la nouvelle recrue Julienne.

Un peu plus au centre mais plus au sud, Imahaka reprend un sujet déjà abordé par Pati mais cette fois-ci sous un aspect profondément sociologique en bon futur journaliste qu'il est : Le comportement des Malgaches face à la pathologie du Sida, rien que ça…Mais à Antsirabe on est tout aussi capable de légèreté en parlant cinéma mais comme on reste sérieux on fait une revue de Slumdog Millionaire. D'ailleurs Andrikely se demande toujours pourquoi personne ne vient lire ses longs articles mais ça j'en suis sûre n'est qu'une question de temps…c'est pas Pâques à Antsirabe bientôt? ;) Les choses ne se sont pas déroulées calmement pour Fianar, apparemment, les fêtes succèdent aux grèves aux larmes ainsi de suite…Mais sans les images de Jelona, vous ne l'aurez jamais su!

Ce qui est génial dans ces lectures, c'est lorque l'on tombe sur les articles comme ceux de Zouboon ou Théo. Habituellement vous ne verrez de Majunga que le super article mielleux de la petite famille d'expatriée revenue des plages d'Amborovy genre "Nous prenions le 4×4 pour voir le beau décor du cirque rouge"- no offense – ou de Tamatave que les histoires de boîtes de nuit des vazahas style "les filles sont si belles dans la région". bref. Je préfère mieux m'enquérir de ce qui est finalement arrivée à Seheno et Jean-Marc – tout en gardant Kamba dans mes pensées – ou de voir comment les guides Ravinala ont accueuilli la dernière croisière Costa Europa avant de partir pique-niquer pour souffler un peu – on ne sait pas quand la prochaine reviendra…

Dans les chroniques de Tana ou Majunga (70 articles publiés par mois par les FBC!), difficile de choisir parmi les trésors du mois de Mars : des blogs qui fêtent leur 1 an d'existence et qui enchaînent les sujets chauds que l'on a tendance à zapper d'un clic (violence sur les femmes, handicap, statut des personnes agées,mendicité); des bloggers qui courent les rues pour vous récolter des images chocs au péril de leur vie; un activisme bien récompensé par les Médias internationaux qui eux ne les ont pas ignorés...petit moment de fierté pour ma communauté-à-moi : AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! des Foko partout du NYT à CNN en passant par le Wall Street et Irinews et pleins de France 24!! AAAAAHHHH!!!!!

Une petit post dédicacée à Maintikely qui souffle ses '1-bougie', qui n'aura bien entendu rien avoir avec son blog histoire de respecter la ligne éditoriale de ce coin. Si je me rappelle bien (Mirana tu me corrigeras s'il-te-plaît) il y avait eu une époque durant laquelle la blogosphère était juste composée de 3 pelés et 5 tondus, Rajiosy-celui-qui-est-craint avait le statut de 'commentateur craint' et …. les articles sur/de Madagascar étaient sous forme de zolis diaporamas para-touristiques, de pamphlets encyclopédiques ou socio-pseudo-anarcho-politico. Tout ça emballé dans un joli glaçage sucré de nostalgie ou d'anonymosité. Eh bien…les temps ont changé. Merci. Merci. Merci.

As we are well aware that foko is growing bigger and bigger. It is becoming harder to follow up the foko updates and, most importantly, foko bloggers blogs. Clearly, using an rss feed reader is a must.

Unfortunately, some of us were reluctant in subscribing to foko bloggers rss feed at the begining. Or, simply haven't had the time to do so yet.  No worry, we can still do it now. The only problem is that as foko on its own counts more than thirty active bloggers, it really is cumbersome to add all that rss subscription on our feed reader one by one. 

Fortunately for us (lazy ones), feedshow.com created a web OPML-builder among its list of provided goodies. Below is a simple how-to to build an OPML file for the whole of foko bloggers:

* First, go the FBC site,  select and copy the list of foko blogger's sites (from the front page).

* Open your favorite text editor: notepad, wordpad in MS windows — gedit or emacs on linux  (for Mac, ask the lord).

*  Paste your list in the editor, ie CTRL+V.

*  Replace (CTRL+H) ".com" by ".com/feed" — wordpress feed is simply on .com/feed

* Similarly, if you got a "rss_mg.png" at the begining of each line replace it by " " (space or nothing).

* Go back to the OPML-builder page, copy and paste what's on your text editor onto the field "List of RSS feeds url".

* Click on the "Create OPML" button. You're done!

*  If your browser display the OPML file instead of asking you to save it, you can copy and paste it again in your favorite text editor. Save it as <filename.opml>.

* Now, open your favorite feed reader. If you don't have one already, I suggest GooGle Reader (has lots of cool features). Upload the opml file, <filename.opml>, you just created. Usually, that would be under ->File ->import  for a non-web-based feed reader. It is under ->Settings ->import/export in GooGle Reader.  Now,  you can rename  "Main Folder" to Foko or anything, tag and star and all of these nice features GooGle offers to you on it.

* Congrats!! you will get updates on foko (or any) blogs on real time (don't forget to open your reader).

When Barcamp started we were all VERY READY. Koloina and Nhari are going to interview the presenters, Lomelle and Patricia will Twitt, Rondro is liveblogging, Diana in charge of the pictures. Patrick and Theo took over the interviewing duty, Rondro the photo shooting, Tahina and Andry took great videos, David is the geek in chief and Eddie was in charge! The Foko, supposedly, coordinators were uncordinating everything and doing their best not to get the discussions more heated than they are. Knowing jogany's bad temper and Stéphane's smart mouth….you figured out that it was an impossible task.- "Iceman, hep, pssiiit, Iceman!!", jogany who is lost with ICE – "Who posted this french twitt?", Great Twitterer Foko – "I loved the Security with Linux presentation even if I still don't understand what Linux is about" said Theo the social activist- "No more batteries? This can't be!" yelled Diana- "I bought a 50000Ar t-shirt which don't even fit me but I want beer " admitted Andrydago - "You want to start a FBC in Fianar? Please bring us more cute girls", whined Manda, C3LF president.

I am heading to FBC new spot in 'bira, Antsirabe, where great communities have already started to put in place Citizen Media workshops with Randy Donné and Jaona. I can't wait to make troubles …oups….news from Vakinaratra region!

Hi all,

Today at work, I had a very interesting discussion with one of my workmate who is also a lawyer. Johary, that’s his name, is among these rare species of Malagasy citizens who still believe that ideas, democracy and law, can change Madagascar. With his title of “Doctor in Law”, he tried to convince me that only real democracy and total respect for the so called “State of Law”, were the only ways to get rid off the mess where Madagascar is involved. While he spoke to me, I remember the time I was like that; there was a time, me too, I wanted to be like those guys and girls who changed France during May 1968, I dreamed to be like these young American who burned their drafts (Vietnam draft) and who launched the Hippie movement, I had the fantasy to be at the place of Chinese rebels who challenged their government in the Tian Me square. Why did I change? Why did I stop dreaming?

Dream is not different from law, dream represents the climax of your fantasy, law represents the perfect type of rule. I think that there is nothing wrong for a lawyer to be a dreamer. I beleive that with the help of his or her dreams, the lawyer can force the destiny of a whole nation …do you need a proof? He convinced me.

So, I would like, through this blogg, to convince you that ideas, democracy, exchange between people, the respect of “State of Law”, are the clues to find the appropriate formula for sustainable development and national emancipation.

So there I was making myself comfortable at their fun place when I remembered about the keys to my own corner I left to trustworthy friends with great inspirations and of course high blogging skills (lol).

Why do I always insist on calling Simp first? because the guy is so fun and controversial in his blogging I thought he might bring more trolls to PPC and make this place as dangerous as Amsterdam's Red Light or Tsaralalana for those Indra connaisseurs. But also bc he came up with this fun idea of a little (very little) popularity contest between the writers. Thanks to the wp-post-views plugin maybe you've already noticed that we can ready how many times a post has been viewed by an unique visitor. Since I always wanted things to get a little bit more giving sharing caring alike, I will make a 20$CAN donation to the non-profit the winner will choose.

Why did I invite so few of my (few) friends? I first want you to know that I came up with this guest-blog idea when I was coming short with the posting. Yes this can happen.even at Purple.
