Non, ils n'y célèbrent pas un évènement tech ni le lancement d'un cyber-group mais font du social media un outil pour informer sur le cyclone Gustav dans la mer des Caraïbes. Nous avons expérimenté ce type de travail lors du tragique cyclone Ivan et sommes tous très au courant de l'impact de ce type d'interventions. Je ne répèterai jamais assez les mots de Tomavana un de nos principaux collaborateurs et pourvoyeurs de petites expressions supers motivantes : "Il fallait le faire et nous étions la pour le faire!" (en gros c'était ce qu'il a dit mais bon vous savez moi a l'époque je n'avais pas dormi pendant 78heures donc la mémoire…)

Je vous invite aussi a collaborer avec nous dans l'édition du Climate Watch on Madagascar (oui tous ensemble citoyens du monde de tamatave a port-au-prince et si on veut on peut aller ailleurs que sur purple) pour nous préparer pour la prochaine saison. Sur ce fait, ce serait aussi un superbe moyen de garder l'oeil sur les améliorations sur le terrain et d'évaluer la faisabilité de contribuer au développement et la propagation des instruments de prévention et d'alertes au catastophes naturelles.

exemple : un jeune étudiant sur Fenerive Est envoit des photos en taggant sur Flickr "cyclone-xx" ( nous aurons préalablement formé ce jeune a un atelier FBC of course), une dame sur la baie d'Antongil passe un sms a sa fille avant l'arrivée d'un cyclone celui-ci passe sur Twitter (non la RNM ne se la jouait pas macabre lors du drame de Sainte-Marie, la radio faisait juste son boulot), le fil RSS suit les tags " cyclone-xx" et nous récoltant toutes les nouvelles et les évolutions et enfin  : La Mashup de la mort qui tue qui voient non pas 3 (merci Marie-Sophie!) mais cette fois-ci une bonne dizaine de collaborateurs. ce serait beau hein!

*ceci bien sûr n'est pas un projet dans le vent ni un site web super beau qui vous baratine sa démagogie OU PIRE un truc web 1.0 pour faire pousser l'individualisme chez les bonnes graines, quand Purple veut….

Harinjaka was one of the lucky developers from the Indian Ocean and francophone Africa selected to perform his web 2.0 skills during a one week workshop sponsored by AMUL (Malagasy for Open Source). The syllabus was quite interesting with javascript, css, XML and all the stuffs you have to master when you want to step in the 2.0 lifestyle. Many attendants were from Madagascar since the workshop was hosted by Ankatso Antananarivo University but they had the chance to meet specialists form Africa and Europe. They learned on Google Mashups and Blog creation but endured …well…the low connection !

 Lova is currently in Mexico City covering the AIDS 2008 Conference with is everlasting smile and tenacity. You all know about his fondness of Great cause and his motto on saving the hippo, lemurs…arf the world and on I can assure you that a lot of Lova can only do good for Humanity! Stéphane can't stay in place for too long. Last time I heard he had plans for Antsirabe, well, we will hear about this on blogs soon but for now let's say HURRAY to his intensive work for the Foko Blog Club. From Majunga, when he had the chance to meet the board of the School of Journalism (and help open 3 more blogs) to Tamatave with the excellent Patrick and Sondra to start Foko's partnership with Spotlight and BUEC, he is always looking for more creative solutions to motivate the bloggers.

Les perles au programme (comme dhabs que des perles même pour une feignasse de la Bossa Nova) :Ayo, évidemment j'ai loupé les billes juste parce que je suis une grande nulle (pitinnnnnn). Pour la peine on se podcast un morceau allez, on aime. Gilberto Gil (pourquoi hein?) et on se rappelle de Seu Jorge venu mettre le feu à la ville.Marcus Miller que je connais grâce à mes aprèm o taf à écouter Jazz à FIP sur le net (ben oui d'ailleurs ça me rend tellement productive avec un peu d'IM) .Yael Naim et non parce que je crèverais pour avoir le Macbook Air ou un Macbook tout court.Al Green que devais épouser pour "Let's stay together" mais finalement Brad s'est pointé.Public Enemy pour les mecs parce que l'année dernière on les a forcé à aller à Abd El Malik.

Pis les petits concerts gratuits qui vont joncher les rues pendant 2 semaines, mais bon ça…on a plus 25 ans et on travaille tôt le matin donc on essaye de pas trop abuser … 

Sérieusement je ne sais pas ce que j'ai, en plus je bois du café toutes les heures et je ne spamme plus aussi souvent. 

 I've been sporting this anti-jazz behavior in style for years and I know crazy bloggers are going to enjoy this post. This  jazzitud i guess came from the fact that I cannot afford to  move out of my downtown neighborhood during the 2 weeks long Jazz Fest and had to endure the noise and the partying when I was only minding my Bossa-Nova business. First we give all honours to my neighbour  Leonard Cohen , than Lady Aretha whose show is  taking place at  the heart of Place des Arts and  our late Canadaien compatrio Oscar Peterson. I also want to salute E.S.T. who lost their leader Esbjörn Svensson last week.

Things are going well. They've passed the scanner and we're getting all ready for the second phase of this project, the operation.
Mavo (her sister who's Max relay in Antananarivo) succeeds in solving the food problem at the hospital. Since the twins are too young to eat what is prepared at the HJRA-Befelatanana, she found a more appropriate solution : make a friend of hers who has a house inside the hospital properties cook the meals. We shouldn't have to worry about this anymore. Then the very kind Mrs Anja Elisabeth (Jean and Bako   close family) came by to resupply the little family (of 4 since Kamba's mom came with her twin sister to help out with her other baby).
If you want to help on this level, I made a call to my friends in Antananarivo asking them to bring fruits, cereals, water, juice, …. It's another way to participate. I think they'll gain more autonomy by next week.
Something touching yesterday : Diana called her mother and when telling her about the  twin's birthday that they were going to have a big party, her mother corrected her telling : the big party will be when Kamba recover from her operation.

Bonjour les amis,
les choses vont bon train apparemment. Le scanner est fait donc on se prépare pour la deuxième et la plus importante phase de ce projet qui nous tient tant à coeur.

Mavo a plus ou moins réussi à résoudre le problème des jumeaux quant à leur repas. Comme ils doivent manger encore des vary sosoa et des trucs mous, et que le repas du cafétériat ne leurs sont pas approprié, elle a donc trouver une solution : celui d'emmener fatana et charbon et cocotte à une famille amie à elle qui habite dans l'enceinte de l'hopital, et ainsi la maman de Kamba peut tranquillement réchauffer ou cuisiner pour les petits. No worry sur ce plan donc. Puis la gentille Mme Anja Elisabeth est aussi passée et a ravitaillé la petite famille. D'ailleurs sur ce plan, je bats aussi une campagne auprès des amis sur place. Un peu de fruits, un peu de céréales pour les gosses, un peu d'eau, de jus sont tous les bienvenues. C'est une forme de participation aussi.
Je crois qu'elles peuvent commencer à etre autonome pour de bon dès la semaine prochaine.

Un petit truc qui m'est allé droit au coeur : comme demain c'est  l'anniversaire des jumeaux, il parait que Diana quand elle a parlé avec la famille à Majunga a dit en blaguant que demain on va faire la fete, ils ont dit, non ne faites pas une grande fete. La fete on le fera quand Kamba sera guéri.

En attendant le top pour l'opération, portez-vous bien.
