Find Real Malagasy Life Know Why We Have No More Food, Sport, Songs, Fun !

By jogany • Apr 11th, 2008 • Category: Find Real Malagasy life

We were told our country was Eden on Earth . But if snakes have Freedom of speech in Eden…

Tomavana on the FIFA suspension and Rossy situation :

I always kept in mind that people were having fun in Madagascar and all games were permitted. But the latest news look more like a variant of the "Simon says" game.

New2dago who already shared his thoughts on the FIFA suspension earlier this year paints the very mood :

I'm wondering what in the workd did Rossy do to the actual governement. Is our most popular entertainer a threat to homeland security? And where is going all the money given to TAFITA (Sport Federation)? And at the same time the costs of life are increasing creating more and more poverty.

Purplishly speaking : democracy is a concept way too difficult to embrace in the higher level of Malagasy society. We can only fantasize about the Power of the Citizen when rising voices, when spacializing communities, when planting trees,…, when educating ourselves…

but in Reality, Life sucks in Madagascar …

  1. ah come on,
let’s be patriotic and not lose hope.
    Madagascar is awesome…
… but not right now for the food (fish are still eatable) neither sports nor songs.

    :P

  2. For what I read so far on the blogosphere and media and what I saw last time I went back : nothing but green matter anymore. I’m fine with it though.
Money’s green, trees, anger, hope and of course the most valuable and cheapest items on the market : vegetables!

  3. Madagascar used to be called “the greend island”. Green reminds of youth and beauty, and that’s Madagascar is all about 8);-)

wasn’t it you who converted (or a strong advocate) to “cautious” vegetarianism, lately? :)

  4. oops,

Yes, maybe life sucks over there but people always smile :-))) and that is sooooo cool. And so sad a la fois …

Merci pour le passage jogany. Tu es ou justement? Je dirai au Canada ou de l’autre cote de la frontiere? Ton blog est terrrrrrrific, so there ;-)
