For some, reading - or understanding - Malagasy is hard (in my own case, however many hours I use to read a single post, I only come out with a general idea, lose all the subtle details. It’s a language that, as of yet, I still can’t read). And I’m sure I lose some people because they might feel the same way with English. And I link to some French speaking blog and know some of my non-French speaking friends will never hear or understand some of the smart things written there…
This said, I can see how what counts is that we voice certain things. Afterwards…
Dans un monde qu'on aime bien traiter de Mondialisaliste, une communauté indigène aura toujours du mal à se faire entendre. Il y a des expériences qui s'annoncent prometteuses grâce à la contribution sensationnelle des pairs/pères qui seront d'ici peu je le souhaite rejoins par beaucoup d'autres. Notre blogasyfera est fatalement POLYGLOTTE et ce n'est pas parce qu'elle est formée de plusieurs plate-formes (ou parce que l'île possède 18 ethnies, stupide argument, svp ne pensez même pas la développer ici). Elle est un patchwork de personnalités cultivées et surtout optimistes pour notre Culture. News2Dago nous encourage fortement d'ailleurs :

C'est à partir de cette expérience (simplistifiée?) que mon optimisme a été redecollé car sous la forme d'incrustations, incidents et secrets, nous avons réussi à coordonner spontanément nos voix. Que l'on soit Anglaise d'Antsiranana, Malagasy de Casa, Français de Tana, que l'on soit Étudiant préoccupé, exilé, inspiré, que l'on soit une Fan de Robin Williams ou d'Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, que notre passion soit la musique, le cinéma ou les informations, Que tu sois spécialisée en agence de voyages, scientifique en herbe, fan de citrons….Pourquoi se limiter? se complexer? se fermer aux autres ? Pourquoi ne pas revendiquer cette diversité? Aller vers l'Autre et s'ouvrir au Monde…
One funny blogger from Hanoï once told me he’s learning to speak the “ojerxuhwqe” some weird universal language (if someone sees him or his hair please ask him). English is fine and practical but people shouldn’t keep themselves from visiting and reading others’ blogs only bc it’s 100% written in Malagasy or in nimportenawak.
By the way…my spanish is doing fine ! Mon malgache vient de subir un coup de balai (merci Sipagasy), ny frantsay-ko dia mbola tsy nivadika Québecois y mi ingles? lo mejoraré con ellos!

I do hope that Malagasy women can enjoy the same right as men, and can express with liberty. And this : especially for women of remote villages of Madagascar.
jogany > You’re really right concerning language barrier on the web. We’ve approximately the same problem. The reason I didn’t visit English blog more frequently (compared to the way I visit other websites), is that understanding this language is not easy for me. But I think that, we’ll overcome this problem due to our one and only homeland. As french people say : “on a besoin de tout pour faire un monde”.
And as pissoa said above, we make a good team :-).

Témoignage : 72h de coup de complexe be ny nahazo aho t@ ilé VM. Ny tena tsy MAHAY mamaky teny Gasy MIHITSINY! C’est international depuis quelques heures,….snif,….ka nefa tsy ataotsika complexe zany, sa ahona! Ramin’ny erin-taona dia manantena mpamaky de TOUTES LES RÉGIONS ET LES VILLAGES DE MADAGASCAR, azafady!!!

Moi c’est ma 1ère langue, pis le Malgache et j’ai appris le français asez tard et dans les 3 ben …je ne suis pas super géniale….En fait dans ma famille, on a un problème avec l’éducation des gosses et les langues. Mon frère a connu 5 dialectes Malgaches avant l’âge de 5 ans….Imagine maintenant comment il parle…..TROP MARRANT!! Il appelle le poissin “Fy”, enfant “tsaiky”, mais le pire c’est que …je le comprends !
