Love in the Time of Cholera
2007 is close to its end and I needed to celebrate my favourite spanish writer, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the best way he deserves. He won the Litterature Nobel Prize in 1982 with One hundred years of solitude and I couldn't wait to see how the american (ok a south african born director) will put to screen Florentino and Fermina's 50 year-old love story. I would lie if I don't give the other reason I was this happy to get there : any sights of Benjamin Bratt or John Lenguizamo can make up for an old and grumpy looking Javier Bardem. It seems strange that Garcia Marquez allowed them to shoot in weird spanglish accent even if most of actors were latinos. I sincerly think when what you have to say is coming from the heart (and very well written), whatever language you use: the message will always be understood.
Have you forgot about the BOBS? (we'll talk about the BOMBS later). This year Francophone Prize is a blogger from Congo who's giving the world his views about the reality in Africa. I feel so proud about him and all the writers who overcome everyday's difficulties to share their world with us. I know my pals at FOKO Club Blog will be as good as them.
L'amour au Temps du Choléra
Gabriel Garcia Marquez va marquer 2007 comme il a marqué 1982 année à laquelle il a reçu le Prix Nobel de Littérature avec Cent ans de Solitude. J'ai couru au cinéma du coin quand j'ai entendu parler du film américain qui allait sortir sur la longue histoire d'amour de Florentino et Fermina. Bon ….j'avoue j'ai passé la moitié du temps à baver plus pour la bogossité de Benjamin Bratt et John Lenguizamo que pour les vrais talents de Javier Bardem. Les puristes s'étonneront de voir que Garcia Marquez ait pu autoriser que son oeuvre soit jouée en anglais avec un très fort accent espagnol (!?!?). Moi je dirais plutôt qu'importe la langue tant qu'il vient du coeur : le message sera toujours compris.
Vous vous souvenez des BOBS? (des BOMBS aussi d'ailleurs). Le lauréat Meilleur Blog Francophone de cette année réside au Congo et surmonte les difficultés africaines pour pouvoir poster sur son quotidien. J'admire beaucoup leur assiduité de vouloir partager leur réalité avec nous et je suis certaine que mes copains du FOKO Blog Club vont perseverer dans ce sens.

2007 esta el ano del senor Gabriel Garcia Marquez, 1982 fue el de su Nobel Premio de Literatura con Cien Anos de Soledad. No puedo describir mi alegria cuando me dije que se filma una produccion americana sobre la historia de amor de Florentino y Fermina. …. y despues he olvidado mi espanol…Tengo que decir que hay 4 anos que no he hablado en esta idioma y no quiero humiliarme mas.
